The Ride

Why is Keystone Gravel different?

The event is a gravel road race + singletrack style enduro intended to be completed on a drop bar style bike. It is one epic loop of dirt, grass, gravel, and pavement featuring ass-kicking climbs, thrilling descents and stunning vistas and views of the PA Wilds and Pine Creek Gorge.

The course is “no joke” with over 6,000 vertical feet of climbing over 70 miles!  If you have never taken your bike off smooth roads, please don’t register. However, the course is not meant to destroy your spirits. It’s an eclectic mix of gravel roads, grass singletrack and pavement to give you ample recovery time.

Roll into three aid stations along the route and enjoy delicious treats and lunch prepared by a chef.  Aid stations emphasize refueling with “real food” hosted at local businesses.

Finishing times are not based on a start to finish time, but rather individual timed segments. You can choose to “race” to segments or ignore them; it doesn’t matter to us. What does matter is that you have fun, make new friends, enjoy the scenery and have a great day on the bike.
